Start low, increase gradually.
Wegovy® injection starts at 0.25 mg once weekly for 4 weeks, then increases every 4 weeks based on your response and tolerability.
How to administer Wegovy®
1 Wash hands Gather your Wegovy® pen or syringe, alcohol swab, and sharps container.
2 Check the medicine Confirm the label, dose, and expiry date. Use only if the solution is clear and colourless.
3 Know your presentation Wegovy® may be supplied as a single-dose pen, syringe, or FlexTouch® pen. Follow the instructions for your exact device.
4 Choose the site Use the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm, and rotate injection sites with each dose.
5 Clean the skin Wipe the injection site with an alcohol swab and let it dry before injecting.
1 Use once weekly Inject on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without meals.
2 Place the device Position the pen, syringe, or needle as directed for the presentation you received.
3 Inject the dose Deliver the full dose according to the Instructions for Use.
4 Wait before removing Keep the device in place as directed, then remove it from the skin.
1 Handle sharps carefully If your device uses a needle, remove or recap only as directed.
2 Dispose safely Place used needles, syringes, or single-dose pens in an appropriate sharps container.
3 Store as directed Keep Wegovy® refrigerated unless your product leaflet or pharmacist gives different in-use instructions.

How is my dose decided?
Wegovy® injection usually starts at 0.25 mg once weekly for 4 weeks, then increases gradually every 4 weeks. Your doctor decides your dose based on your health profile, response, and tolerability.

What are the side effects?
